I literally just watched that movie for the first time Saturday. Am I living in a simulation? Haha

Some of you morons amaze me. Were you asleep at the wheel the other day when Trump was trying to get your boy to sign a peace deal but he didn't want to?

Anyway... real question- why not let the people in occupied territories vote whether they want to be Russian or Ukrainian?
Because both sides will interfere in the elections.
The entire reason we have a war is because Russia threw a temper tantrum after the puppet they installed was deposed by a western installed puppet. Elections in the Donbass region is mixed enough to sway and corrupt one way or another since many people were displaced.
At the end of the day, Russia needs to respect the borders that they agreed upon at the dissolution of the Soviet Union. But that's not for us to enforce. This is strictly a European issue that we need to stay away from.

Why would the United States give anything to Russia?
Posted on 3/3/25 at 8:55 pm to StormTiger
The only solution at this point is Russia keeps the Donbas and everything else returns to normal. Agree to no NATO build up in Russia and he agrees to not interfere with future elections.
You’re not getting him out of the East without a full blown invasion and I’m not sure the people there want to be part of Ukraine anyway.

Russia is about to steamroll to the border of Poland because the comedian and European leaders are morons. I would, if I were president, ask Putin to leave a 20 mile buffer between them and Poland.

You're leaving out a pretty significant group of morons.

We need to give them our stealth tech. Beg them not to attack our banking and energy infrastructure. Obviously they have something that scares the Trump administration that we aren’t privy to.
While we are at it. Do the same to Iran and North Korea. China is our real enemy.

Hmm, why didn't we do the same thing during the civil war?
Good question!

I should probably edit my original title...I realise the US isn't giving anything to Russia, the better way for me to have stated it is how much do you stand back and let Russia take...
You are still being ambiguous. Are you referring to what is already taken?
The Russians are at the table. Trump is trying to get Ukraine to the table. Presumably, a peace deal would end the taking.
But, I just get the feeling you think the negotiations are going to begin with the map a the beginning of the war. They won't. That territory is now Russian and will be so unless Ukraine decides and is capable of taking it back.
It's why Trump said the war should have never started and the negotiations should have begun early on. There's no undoing what has been done since. The Biden admin and the EU encouraged what has happened. A huge price has been paid.

It's clear reading the board what most here think of Ukraine. With Trump softening his position on Russia...
Until Ukraine sees fit to return to the negotiating table, no position is offered.
