This is actually the root cause of why black people lag behind whites. Thomas Sowell discusses this at length in one of his books. Blacks raised in 2 parent homes have the same economic success and incarceration rates as whites. Unfortunately only about 20-25% are born into 2 parent homes.

If Obama was half black and half white, why would he choose to identify as black if being white was such an advantage?

Something tells me Arabs have privilege in the Middle East and blacks have privilege in African nations. I know our native Americans have privileges that white people don't.
