After all the recent rioting, looting, murders, and attacks against whites you're going to blame white people for wanting to move away? How are whites specifically supposed to be part of the "solution"? Solution to what? Whites have paid trillions in public assistance, such as housing and food stamps. Programs have been instituted that give blacks advantages in college admissions and employment. What are whites supposed to do, get robbed and take a beating for "social injustice"? Maybe blacks should stop bitching, work hard to educate themselves, get a job, and gain respect. How about trying that for a change?

Or created the whole problem. Depends on your perspective, I guess. Why do we have to have “black cities” and “white suburbs?” Why can’t we just have “cities” and “suburbs?” Look into the racist history of redlining and you’ll find your answer. Yes, there is an economic element to it (banks didn’t want to lose money on mortgages), but that lack of demand was built on racial preferences and biases.

What is going to help inner cities more today. Opportunity zones or worrying about something that happened in 1921 or earlier.
Most white people I know don’t care about working or living near blacks. We already do. The hard working blacks that have as much equity invested as I do aren’t the problems. It’s the section eight crowd including lazy whites that cause crime and decline.
Redlining is illegal How do you know when it’s race based. Is the credit score and credit history just as good. The Obama recession was based on stopping redlining and helping financially disadvantaged people.
Many were given loans above normal credit practices. The people were helped into default at alarming rates. It was one of many factors in the down turn but who did it hurt the worst. Those they tried to help.
As a white kid that was bussed, I find it incredible that now blacks in some instances want black only dorms and segregation. UCLA and UVA I believe. Look at the segregated areas in chops. It would be funny watching liberals devolve into those things they say they hate if it weren’t so sad for our country.
The system in this country has always been freedom of opportunity. Even hard work and smart planning require luck. Can you imagine saving and doing everything right to open a gym earlier this year. How about having your shop looted when you also feel the need for justice for an incident a thousand miles away. Only the uninformed think insurance covers everything.
West Indies and African immigrants are advancing in many cases above whites because they know what true poverty and lack of opportunity are. The are taking advantage of the system instead of wanting to change it. I don’t accept billionaires like Opra or Robert Johnson lecturing me about opportunity and my racism while I sit in my crane on a Saturday morning.
We can all agree America would be better with a larger black middle class.it would give more young blacks an understanding that there are more ways to escape poverty than Rap or athletics.
Handing over a large chunk of money in reparations isn’t the answer. How you spend money is as important as how much you make. Ask Johnny Depp.

You don't get it. I never said that white liberals were worth a damn at running cities, either.
The point of this thread is, we are being told by some that white people and White America are the cause of all our troubles. If that were really so, then by definition these cities currently being governed by blacks such as New Orleans, Shreveport, Baton Rouge, Baltimore, Birmingham, Detroit, etc. should be thriving because they wouldn't be hamstrung by "toxic" white leadership.
And of course, we all know this isn't the case. In fact, these are some of the worst-run cities anywhere.
CONCLUSION: The people telling us that White America is responsible for all of our problems are full of shite.

Because it is so much easier to blame whites than to deal with the real problems... cultural problems. Families without fathers, rampant drug use, and the crime that comes with it. Poor education is another problem in part because parents do not push their children to succeed. Black children who do well in school are actually looked down upon by other students. When gangsta rappers and actual gangsters become the role models, things are not going to turn out well.
When a large number of Vietnamese came to this country after the Vietnam War, many didn't speak English. Many at first had low paying jobs. Their children went to same schools as blacks. It a short time, many of their children excelled in school. They went to college and became processionals.
What was the difference? The culture, not the economic situations. Most successful blacks give credit to their family and rightly so. Until you change the mindset and culture of the majority of blacks,nothing is going to change. Adding fuel to the fire are liberal policies that eventually lead to chaos and destruction.
