Besides being subject to nondisclosure agreements, Comey falls under federal laws governing the disclosure of classified and unclassified information. Assuming that the memos were not classified (though it seems odd that it would not be classified even on the confidential level), there is 18 U.S.C. 641, which makes it a crime to steal, sell, or convey "any record, voucher, money, or thing of value of the United States or of any department or agency thereof."

his OWN handwritten notes?

He knew from the beginning that Trump is a moron, and worse, a liar.

He kept detailed notes on what he needed, no more, no less.

A man as smart as Comey, a lawyer who is the GD head of the FBI, knows what is legal and not legal to disclose.

You guys need to get off Drudge Report.

Last fall everyone (both sides of the aisle) wanted to hang him from the highest tree because of his bungling. And to then see the Democrats fawning over him during his testimony because they were hoping (hoping) he would be the downfall of President Trump was just nauseating. I absolutely hate the way it unfolded, but I am glad to see this weak willed, self serving, incompetent buffoon go.

If Trump had learned that politics is a marathon and a game of compromise, he would never be knocking on the doorstep of impeachment.

Impeachment? LOL

Trump's big error was hiring Flynn, if he had never made that mistake this thing never gets any traction. Even with all the missteps he has made, the Dems still can't land any real blows on him. Sad!

Yet he didn't know enough to clarify communications with the President.

Assuming (and it is a big assumption) Comey's memos to be accurate, we have no idea to what Trump actually was asking of Comey, because Comey never clarified. He was Director of the FBI. Yet he left communication with the POTUS at a level of innuendo, supposition, assumption, and pure speculation.

E.g., as to whether Trump's "hope" regarding letting go of the Flynn saga was a directive as Comey interpreted it, or a just simple hope exactly as Trump characterized it. We have no idea, because Comey never asked for clarification. Yet retrospectively, he now claims he viewed Trump's 'hope' as a directive, then refused to follow it.

Likewise Trump supposedly requested "loyalty" of Comey. But Comey has no actual idea as to what the POTUS meant. Was the reference to anti-Trump leaks perhaps emanating from the FBI? Perhaps even from Comey? Or was the request that Comey compromise himself and the FBI? We have no idea, because again Comey never asked for clarification.

Odd though that Trump would issue a directive regarding Flynn, and never follow it up. Isn't it?

Democracy doing democractic things is a hijacking according to the establishment. It wasn't his turn

Rigging DNC and MSM are striving for "People of the government, by the government, and for the government." We are deplorable and disobedient, we did not have their permission to elect trump.

So?

Partisan doesn't necessarily mean that you will always be acting in the best interest of a political party or politician.

Partisan can also mean acting in the best interest of a political goal and working to make sure it comes to fruition no matter what. Comey, Democrats, the media and NeverTrumpers fits that to a very T given that they're working pretty hard to undermine and bring down Donald Trump.
