If Trump doesn’t debate, how is that different from Biden hiding in the basement?

Could someone square this one away for me? Biden hid from debates in 2020 while having a lead for the duration of the race. Is Trump now sinking to Joe’s level? What am I missing here?

It's the exact same.
2 aging octagenarians that know they would get their balls kicked in, in a substantive debate on the issues. Therefore, they want to pretend to be Kings and that they should be annointed head of their respective parties. Ironically, their sycophantic followers that encourage no debates also slavishly worship them as kings as well.

FWIW if you aren't 100% all-in on TRUMP this go round it retroactively changes your prior votes for Trump into votes for Hillary and/or Biden.
