You think they will win enough to get a 2/3 vote in the Senate?

I don't see people voting for Trump then voting Democrat for the Senate and House.

It is more likely Republicans win the House than lose the Senate.

Wait...even given your Senate scenario (and, it would NEVER reach 2/3)...but, given your set of circumstances:

Trump removed
Pence becomes POTUS...AND selects a new VP
Pence is eventually removed...NEW VP becomes POTUS. Not Pelosi

Pelosi is "3rd in line" in the sense that IF Both POTUS and VP were to die / become incapacitated.

I’m sure a dem house and senate would take a long time approving a GOP veep pick in that scenario. Also, the presidential succession act could be challenged by executive branch officials. constitutional crisis

convicts and removes Pence on BS impeachment charges
Since both the Office of President and Vice President are vacant the Speaker of the House is sworn in as President.

Riots and other general mayhem follows.

Does your scenario involve Arkancide or no?

It is a little more complicated.

The President nominates a new VP, but has to be approved by both houses of Congress. If the Democrats hold one house, you are not getting an approval. Then removal of the new President would make Speaker of the House President.

This is how you coup.

Given the inevitable effects of ILLEGAL Immigration, rr...it is inevitable that the Dems will win the Senate, POTUS and House as well, in the near future.

This is even assuming that the Wall is built and a lot of violent, gang banger types go back over that Wall. The good folk won't...and it is even unlikely that their abundant Government Subsidies will go away. They'll get the vote...sooner or later. Their kids will for sure.

If there is a Constitutional Republic for of governance to be maintained in this Nation...it will be an UN-DEMOCRATIC version; because a Democratic (pure version, majority rule) will nullify traditional Constitutional Principles. Democracy -as such - will then either be rejected...or accepted. What such a future 'Government' will look like, how or whether it holds power or for how long, I have no idea. It will be Authoritarian...by one Side or the Other.

Of course, there is a chance that Government Subsidization is both accepted (being that major job losses from High Tech is coming), and somehow reconciled with Constitutional Principle ("promote the common welfare"?) Time will tell. Pretty soon.

If the democrats win the senate Trump will have lost the Presidency. I can see Gardner in Colorado and Collins in Maine losing. But otherwise I think we hold the Senate. McSally May have problems in Arizona. Our country gets what it deserves if that happens. Alabama will flip back Republican.
