If the Alaska peace talks fail spectacularly what is Trump’s next move?

I think Trump is getting sick of Putin’s unwillingness to end the war. If these talks fail I think he’ll ramp up weapons shipments to Ukraine and if that fails he’ll enter the war directly and end it quickly with American air power.

Economic sanctions of a magnitude never seen before.

He doesn't want to do this, we don't want him to do this, and Putin knows both of those things

Zero chance IMO

Putin’s unwillingness? Biased view much?

Putin wants peace. It’s up to Zelensky to stop with the senseless violence.

It's obvious Zelensky is the biggest roadblock to any sort of negotiated end at this point, but Putin can have peace anytime he wants it.

What he wants to do is end the war. He campaigned on it. He promised it. He’ll end it one way or the other.

He’s already shown a willingness to use decisive military action even when his base opposed it.

He will blame it on Zelensky.

He campaigned on all sorts of things. I think he wants this one - I'm not sure he's going to reinvigorate a proxy war (at least for long) over it.

I addressed this is another thread, there is no real comparison. Also, no chance you genuinely believe Trump is going to put Americans directly into a conflict with Russia.

Drama much?
How do peace talks "fail spectacularly"? Two countries are at war. One country talks to a 3rd party and if nothing gets settled, they are still at war. How does that qualify as "fail spectacularly"?
Its almost as if you want it to fail, so then you can skyscream about how it failed spectacularly

If it’s the only and last chance to end the war I think he will. No ground troops or strikes inside Russia proper but bombing Russian troop formations or at least their command and control and air defenses isn’t out of the question in my opinion.

I think he washes his hands, tells the EU good luck, and walks away.

That only works with the Persian goat frickers, not with a country that has the largest nuclear stockpile in the world.

They can't "fail"
It has been said this is step 1 to ending the war. No matter what happens the war wont end tomorrow

If Trump feels embarrassed by Putin again after making a real attempt at peace is what I mean.

Weird take. I hope Trump succeeds spectacularly. Mostly because I want Trump to look good for ending the war. Other than I have no personal feelings about Russia or Ukraine and don’t really care who wins or loses. I have no idea where you get this gibberish about sky screaming. This is an exercise in predicting what will happen in the event that the talks fail, as they have in the past.

Putin isn’t going to nuke anyone over Ukraine even if we enter the war. He’s not a madman.

Step 2. Sell weapons to Europe. Sell weapons to Russia.
USA profits.
USA profits.

If the Alaska peace talks are a huge success, what will be your TDS outrage level that day?
