Texas wouldn't be able to use any of the U.S.'s infrastructure, they would have to build their own, it would take years and years.

It's not just oil that Texas has either. Their agricultural output is staggering.

What particular infrastructure are you speaking of?

What would stop a different country from coming into Texas and taking it over? Texas doesn't have any military equipment on their own without the U.S. Let's start with that. If you can answer that question, I will move onto the next obvious reason that Texas can't survive on their own.

Yeah, some other country is going to come into Texas and just take it over. Have you ever even been there? You don't have a clue, and don't have a fricking reason for anything. You probably have never been out of your trailer park. Texas is the most prepared place in The U.S.. Texas has only 1 weakness, and it would be a bigger weakness for any invaders.

See a lot of typing and insulting but no answer to the question.
All it would take is a few Chinese or Russian planes to drop a few bombs and they would surrender or run back crying to the U.S. begging for help.

I'll just let you tell me how your imagined invasion by a foreign country would happen, and how it would be sustained.

Texas actually produces a fifth of the country's power, and only use a seventh.
Other states rely on their electricity.
Texas would be quite fine.
Do you like apples?
How you like them apples?
U.S. Energy Information Administration assessment of Texas
So, like I said. . .they could do it now. For power and infrastructure, the US would be hurt FAR more by TX leaving, than TX would be hurt.

They seem to be doing fine on power right now with their rolling blackouts and asking Biden for help.

If Texas wants to Secede so bad why are they asking for help from the government?
Texas secession is only taken seriously by a few retarded aggies.

Anyone who thinks texas could build up a military that could fend off the USA has their head up their respective asses. Texas isn't going anywhere. They will be crushed much faster and thoroughly than the south was when they tried to succeed from the union

They aren't asking FEMA for electricity, it couldn't be provided anyway. The funds are mostly for clearing roads, powerline repair and that kind of thing. This is a once in a generation type storm. Nobody in the whole country is really ready for it. It's the kind of thing that taxes have been paid in for.

The grid would be fine if they got rid of renewable dependence and fracked more natural gas!
Even put in a few more nuclear plants!!

I know that it's not going to happen, but it's not because of economic reasons. I think Texas would have no problem sustaining a viable economy on their own. The feds are not going to let it happen, because Texas is too valuable.

Texas is begging Biden for help right now, not the other way around.
Good thing Texas didnt secede already I guess. Wouldnt have been a long succession.
