If Texas wants to Secede so bad why are they asking for help from the government?

Right. So it's "We don't need the government's help we're going to secede! We can do everything on our own!" Then two weeks later when there's a storm it's "Please help us Government, we pay taxes!"

So if they had kept their taxes they wouldn't be worried about overloading the energy grid and needing the government's help? If they secede will the US allow them to use the US energy grid at all? I doubt it!
