They have nuclear plants and damn near all the oil outside of Alaska.

I bet they'd manage just fine.

I am sure there would be some growing pains, but they are the only state that could pull it off.

And I would move there in a heartbeat.

So you admit that Texas wouldn't be able to survive on their own if they seceded.

The next time you have an accident, pay out of pocket even though you have auto insurance. It'd make about as much sense as that.

If my state shared a border with Georgia, I’d be mad too.

The great nation of Texas doesn't seem to be able to survive a winter storm on their own.

I am sure they will be fine.

Because they want the money back they paid to the US, for JUST this type of thing?

When they secede, they won't HAVE to ask for the money BACK, because they will already HAVE it.

Please show me where, in the above quoted statement, you are getting lost? I really want to help. The cure for ignorance is knowledge and comprehension.

Say they had seceded a month ago like a lot of them wanted to. What money would they have that they had paid to themselves instead of the government? They would be screwed.

Well I don’t have a message that my back up generator has engaged, so I assume the power grid is fine.

Probably sell bonds or get a loan, and pay it off with future taxes.

The same thing the US government is doing for your stimulus.

Was the US screwed by the stimulus?

Literally no one officially a part of the process mentioned “seceding a month ago” Again. Bad troll.

They have repeatedly stated that the movement will be a process and this first vote is a vote to start the process.

It's not a troll. It's just proving that none of this is thought through and Texas couldn't make it if they seceded.

Sorry you view facts as a troll.

I suppose, if they are their own country, they can just print their own money and operate on funds that they don't really have. You know, just like the backwards arse country they are already a part of.

It was.

Because everyone eviscerated your point several times.

The US can't afford the stimulus, nor the wars Biden is starting. . .does that mean the US is a failure as a nation?

Building your own power grid and everything else that comes with seceding from the US, for a population as big as Texas takes more than just borrowing money or having oil.

No, that is pretty much how the US did it

Texas has the oil, so they would have the money.

Ok. How many years before they would get their power grid going to able to survive a winter storm on their own without the government's help if they seceded?

They could survive this year, on their own as a nation.

Just borrow money, sell bonds, and print money.

Literally what Biden is doing, with the stimulus, wars, and subsidizing the Iranian Nuclear weapons program.
