Rog, you should probably read his post again. It's evident you either misread it or didn't understand it the first time
Nah. He is just that obtuse when it comes to tariffs.

Do you understand WTF "opening up markets" implies?
I very well do.
But thanks for asking.

You dummy. What happens when we raise tariffs on a country?
I;ll tell you. You may need to look up the word, but they reciprocate.
Oh Roger... I read these threads just to watch you melt down while screaming simplistic cause and effect with zero nuance.

I'm a classical, conservative when it comes to economics unlike you Union liberals.
Tariffs are subsidies off the working guy, to woke corporations. We need to be moving toward more entrepreneurship and less massive "too big to fail"
corporations.

Nah. You're a fricking dumbass.
Especially if you think I'm a Union liberal.

If you understood cause/effect, you wouldnt support tariffs.

Keep digging.
I've got some football to watch.

I guess it depends on the degree of "collapse". If it was on the level you intimate, a change in government would ensue.

We would fail as well.
quote:Perhaps, but that was not what you were responding to.
So, the second largest economy in the world collapsing wouldnt cause a worldwide depression?
You were responding to an assertion that a Chinese collapse the extent to which you're insinuating would result in the Chinese people overthrowing their government. You implied the same would occur here too. That is silly.

This is what progressives think of people like me who dont support tariffs.

Adam Posen, dismissed concern for American manufacturing as “the general fetish for keeping white males of low education outside the cities in the powerful positions they’re in.”
Even they realize its a grift for corporations and individuals with no education or skill. Yet Biden supported.

Why is it silly? Do you understand the impact of the second largest economy in the world collapsing?
You obviously do not.

Do you understand the impact of the second largest economy in the world collapsing?
It would not result in us scuttling our Constitution

Anyone who is not for free markets is not a conservative. Hopefully you will grow towards this goal of yours.

How do you know? Do you realize the loss of the second largest economy would result in worldwide chaos?
It would result in our government being upheaved and replaced.

There are a ton of legally required add ons now that require computers.
Reduce the regulation, allow people to build anti-teslas.
Mechanical only (except antilock breaks).
Cost will drop like a rock, and you could repair your own car again.

I wouldn't expect a gay man to understand. You don't have the emotional maturity required to see the benefit of a long term plan.

That would be cool, but macroeconomics dont really care about your past, they tend to run true regardless.
