Truly sad for you if that is what you got from my post.

Its absolutely true, y'all have accepted progressive economics. You people have totally abandoned conservative principles for populism.

No one should ever listen to a leftist when it comes to economics. If you want cheaper cars, end the Obama era mandates on how they make them.

Can Ford and GM sell competitively in Europe?

they arent going to compete after tariffs.

Trade wars always penalize consumers. Other nations will just up their tariffs.

Yep.

The emissions, economy and crash standards are why they have become increasingly expensive.

I'm tired of having to educate rubes on basic macroeconomics.

Protectionism always leads to higher prices and lower quality.

I guess it depends on the degree of "collapse". If it was on the level you intimate, a change in government would ensue. Depression for Chinese democracy might be a decent gambit.

Using tariffs as a tool to open markets and influence other countries is not protectionism.

But you keep educating us Rog...

You dummy. What happens when we raise tariffs on a country?

I;ll tell you. You may need to look up the word, but they reciprocate.

Trade wars unequivocally reduce choice, raise cost and minimize markets.

Rog, you should probably read his post again. It's evident you either misread it or didn't understand it the first time
