Somehow I don’t think he is such a pussy that he’ll roll over and take this in stride so he can be invited to all the right parties.

He grew up here, if he's not already entrenched in the atmosphere then I'd say there's a good chance he never will be.

Along with Justice Thomas, Kavanaugh is already becoming among my favorites and he's not even sworn in yet.

The leftards are so g@ddamn ruthless... These are good men, and the left just relentlessly assaults them with extreme prejudice.

I have always tried to remain moderate-right, and accept differences in opinion and ideology... but since 2015 the left has gotten so deranged, hysterical and nonsensical that it actually takes daily meditation and prayer on my part to not absolutely hate them with every fiber of my being.

That's basically what Roberts did on the Obama care case and people think he veered left.

erroneous on two counts.

taxes in their current form are not constitutional. they're a necessary evil forced on us by the 16th amendment, but to call it constitutional is reaching.

the ruling of calling it a tax is a pill i can swallow if i must. but a tax HAS to be implemented upon commerce between two parties. purchasing of goods, making an income, licensing a vehicle, owning land, etc. you obviously can't avoid most of those and that's just the way it is. That is the first tax you have forced on you for just existing.

Wait so you want Kav to rule that private citizens can only own guns if they're a member of "a well regulated militia"?

That's pretty bold to push for a limitation of 2A on this board.

Agree but by amendment I think (from a non-lawyer standpoint) it becomes constitutional. Whether that is the absolute correct terminology or not I don't know.

Interesting take. I am trying to multi-task and think of an exception to what you are saying but coming up blank.
