NBC5 DFW trial coverage
Karnelo Anthony is getting chewed up by the prosecution. His attorney should be in with the judge and prosecutor to try and work out a plea deal. Every single witness is calling it 'murder', not self-defense, and every witness is blaming Karmelo for instigating it, refusing to leave, calling everyone a bunch of pussies and telling them to just try and make him leave and if they did then they'd find out (what he was holding in his hand in the bag he was carrying).
He's toast. His only hope was getting a black juror.

Yes, the trial coverage is damning. The kid is guilty of second degree murder at the very least. He’s screwed.

Well I think it’s obvious he brought that knife looking for an excuse to stab someone so he did this to himself. Maybe he bought into the narrative of the white devil too much and thought he was justified but he’s getting a very difficult lesson on how “keeping it real” can go very wrong.

Yes he's going away. However your post leads me to this question... Since I'm a proponent of open or conceal/carry, would Austin Metcalf have been justified in shooting the thug while protecting himself from the knife attack?
...and that's also taking into account that both parties would have been guilty of breaking the law by carrying weapons onto school property.

I can’t speak legally since I’m not familiar with Texas law BUT logically he would be fully justified in defending himself by any means from a knife attack.
At worst in that scenario you described he would be guilty of breaking the law regarding bringing a weapon on school campus. However I think considering he was attacked by a knife you could probably get it dismissed.

Remains to be seen how many people do this shite.
The people the media are asking appear to be the most engaged and the loudest, but they aren’t enough to do a tremendous amount on their own as rioters as opposed to terrorists.
