did the F.B.I. raid Cohen and Roger Stone's homes in a massive show of force?

The whole investigation stinks.

They were trying to provoke a response from Trump, nothing more. There was no search for justice here. It was a political hit job, through and through.

thats why the dimms dont want him questioned

they dont want him asked why he continued to run a 2 year investigation in search of a crime, which is against clear letter law.

they dont want him to have to answer why after he knew for a 100% fact after only a few weeks that trump never colluded with russia why he continued to run a 2 year investigation in search of a crime

Mueller kept the investigation going to keep pressure on Trump hoping that Trump would make an unforced error that could lead down the obstruction path criminally or at least do something that would be politically devastating.

Trump never took the bait.

Rod Rosenstein allowed a broad scope and then funded it until Barr was brought aboard to shut the farce down.

High five. You have to think Mueller was convinced up front that there would be relatively easy pickings on Trump but was probably quickly shocked and dismayed at how weak it really was. Yet he knew he'd better come up with something to throw to the hyenas....associates like Manafort et al as well as what you mentioned in your post.

The only way Mueller is not a dirty cop is if those under his crosshairs, Manafort, Flynn, Papa, Page, were all dem plants and he busted them being plants.

Papa and Page didn't know they were being set up, did Flynn and Manafort? Flynn is mighty quiet.

No can do because he didn't outline this in the report.

I do wonder if the OIG report will show this. Flynn started all of it with the ABC news article and then firing.

One distinct (yet somewhat unexciting) possibility is merely that Mueller fundamentally believed Trump was bad for the country and that if there had to be some bending and breaking of rule and law as well as a trail of a few unfortunate victims....the ends justify the means. Ive witnessed law enforcement people heavily bending the truth and in some cases lying on the stand, the only reason given the circumstances being "this guy has to be gotten off the streets." There's simply no justification to do theae things, and to the contrary may well be a worse act than anything they were investigating. It's a lot of power they're entrusted with, taking our freedom being top of the list.

If Bob says what I think he might, get Weissmann, I suspect he was behind a lot of this.

"My Team thought"....really Bob? Then subpoena them one by one. Don't bring them together so they can support each other, and grill the hell out of them.

Nail on the head!
Mueller thought Trump would step on his dick big time since he thought Trump was such an out of control loose cannon. I'm always in amazement how street smart Trump is. He has been running circles around honest Bob, The Democrat Party, the media, and his own crooked Republican Establishment since the 2016 campaign. I believe it's a combination of natural God given talent and all the years of doing business nationally and internationally with characters of all stripes.

God bless Donald J. Trump

If you were making a thousand dollars an hour, 9-4, with all weekends and holidays off would you be all that eager to move on to your next job?

It was fun to watch Senate Dems keep saying they wanted Meuller to come testify and republicans were saying “He’ll yeah!” The Dems didn’t backed off that point right after the hearing.
