...I'd vote for Nikki over any Democrat. She is all about peace through strength (deterrence). Liberals/Dems said Reagan would lead us into WW3, but instead he accomplished peace through strength and ended the cold war, freeing 10's of millions of people, without war. I think we should be all in with funding Israel and pull away from the Ukraine mess and I think Nikki's tough talk would force Russia and Ukraine to end this in compromise. She does need to be tougher with Ukraine though, forcing Zelynski to accept a treaty with Russia.
Trump will do what he can to sabatoge the Republican candidate if it isn't him, through criticism, ridicule and telling folks not to vote because the election is rigged anyway; Republicans have lost the popular vote in 7 of the last 8 presidential elections; dems are doing everything they can to flip Texas (Remember 40 yrs ago, California was a deep red State). To save this country, we simply must vote for Nikki if she's the nominee.
Regarding a viable 3rd party, I'd love to see it, but in 2024 a 3rd party vote is a wasted vote and can help the dems. Biden and Harris are beyond dissasterous for the U.S. and the world...a vote for them is a vote for Harris to become president. Harris is beyond incompetent, have dropped out of 2020 race, while polling 1%, with no delegates and then blaming her failures on racist and misogynistic dem primary voters.
Nikki with handle Chy-na and the border crisis too. How's that going now?

Just because those folks are not as bad as Joe Biden isn't a good enough reason to vote for them. We don't need someone who is pro-life, but refuses to support individual liberty and enables government corruption to continue unimpeded.
So I would vote third party and send a message to the Republican party that I won't vote for any old party hack they put up.

Basically this thread tell us that, should Trump not be available, the GOP better nominate Vivek or possibly DeSantis or face a huge migration to an independent.
The fact is a traditional GOP establishment candidate is no longer electable. Cry all you want about how MAGA ruined a good thing.

Completely agree. The establishment candidates are no longer viable in any form.
If it's not Trump I would vote for DeSantis or Vivek. If it's Haley (or Pence before he dropped out or Christie if he was a serious candidate) then I go RFK or another third party candidate. And no I don't consider it a wasted vote.
Maybe this country needs to go through hell to come out the other side and get to heaven.

We have to become a sovereign nation with a goverment working on behalf of this country and not business and international concerns.
I'LL take a liberal who will close the border, end the forever wars, stop the corruption and prevent Federal Law enforcement from usurping our rights.
I would prefer a MAGA candidate, but I may not have that option.

That's absolutely what I believe as well. Sad neither side has any intention of representing those views.
I'm not even against immigration. I want a structured and streamlined immigration process.
But first we have to close the border while we get that structured and streamlined immigration process up and running. With the new immigration process you apply in the Embassy of your Country, pass a background check, attend a hearing to understand why you want to immigrate to the U.S. and then wait your turn to be accepted as a citizen into the country. There would be a limit each year for how many people can immigrate into the country but those accepted would immediately be citizens.
No more wars except those that require our direct involvement, which would be limited to those enemies that directly threaten our sovereignty and national security.

Exactly this. I would gladly vote for Vivek. I have some reservations about DeSantis but would vote for him. I absolutely would not vote for Haley the warmonger.
Instead of voting for her I would go RFK jr. RFK is the only other viable candidate that will push back against the establishment. We absolutely have to have someone, whether it’s Trump, Vivek, DeSantis or RFK jr, that will question the pieties of the DC establishment. We will likely still have a rep/dem divided house/senate so they could push back or override any veto that is absolutely necessary.

Your daddy’s GOP ended the day Trump came down the golden escalator, and there’s no getting the genie back in the bottle.
We had a chance to adopt the MAGA movement but the establishment rebelled. Now I think the divide will eventually be so great that we’re headed for a third party and it will destroy the GOPe as we know it.
And that is absolutely fine with me.
