If Cumala let’s Trump’s tax cuts expire

Then doesn’t that mean taxes are going to increase for her voters? The standard deduction under Trump’s tax cuts increased so lowering that deduction means that they will pay more. Do her followers not understand that?

Fun fact: The Trump tax cuts have been a massive benefit to the middle class/working class. For the well off, they have been a mixed bag depending on your situation.

Depends more on the state they live in tbh. Some high tax states were very reliant on the state income tax deductions that were previously allowed by the feds. Helped their richer citizens justify the higher state tax rates.

These aren't smart people we are talking about here. They won't believe it until their paychecks suddenly get smaller overnight when the Trump tax cuts expire if she gets elected.

As long as the top marginal tax rate is a few % higher they will be okay with it.

I'll start writing off everything i can find. I'll be able to match that deduction. I'll just have to find a new accountant probably, mine isn't gonna do anything shady.

Then she'll say that she'll raise the standard deduction, thereby being the one that lowers taxes.
Similar to what they did with insulin. And gas prices.
