Is there not precedent for this even in a male only draft? Like last man standing on a family farm?
Gender roles such as who goes to work and who stays home are so outdated, aren't they? Why should battle be any different?
Thought exercise... we have plenty of gay married couples that purchase children, would you dream of exempting one or both of them because "who will raise the children"?
Franchise should be on par with draft-ability.

I remember being taught in HS that American Soldiers were sent to China "to make Christians safe" in the Boxer Rebellion. Later it was reported that Chinese went to war and started attacking Drug Importers. Question: Were the Clinton's involved ?

Women do not belong in the military or police forces or fire brigades or boardrooms. They belong in kitchens and bedrooms and maternity wards. Pathetic pusillanimous men born after 1950 forgot these things. Don't blame women for our current state of affairs blame the men who allowed it to happen.

I see your point, but I do disagree. Not ALL women are like this. Case in point, my baby girl enlisted in the Navy when she was 19. Spent two deployments on two different carriers in a combat theatre. She was a plane captain and an aviation machinist mate. I would have rather she had not enlisted, but it was her decision and I gave her my blessing and support. She received her DD-214 in 2025 and is now Navy Reserve. She didn't wash out, but several of her male enlistees DID. Yeah, I'm proud of her. Very proud. She did our nation a great service. Be careful when painting with such a broad brush.
