Yeah, that’s the drum I’ve been banging for years and years and years. Identity Politics begets Identity Politics. If you villainize somebody you risk radicalizing him. It’s why we have a burgeoning White Identity movement, a Men’s Rights movement etc. They are reactionary movements.

Likewise if you tell someone that their traditions, principles and ideals aren’t worth defending, you risk them doubling down in defense of those things. Strong men ( as opposed to soy boys) don’t just roll over when you try to replace their dearest virtues with Progressive Orthodoxy.

Identity Politics is all about dividing into tribes. The idiots that push this crap think they are only building their tribe but they are actually building the enemy tribe too.

People who aren’t straight and white, as far as this country is concerned, were identified as different and treated differently by those in power—virtually all of whom were of european ancestry and identified themselves as white— as recent as in modern times. Some wear their labels with pride now, but they didn’t invent the labels.

The “others” didn’t start this. They took ownership of labels that they were issued, and the people who are bothered by that are pathetic.
