I agree completely that the Dem strategy was to swamp us with bogus asylum claims...which would take years to decide.
I STILL don't know why Trump hasn't temporarily hired/deputized 100,000 favorable immigration judges to clear out the backlog. Makes no sense.

I think he's just skipping that part and moving straight to deportation because they shouldn't have been let in to begin with. That said, I don't know for sure. I do know dems have been screaming for due process for foreign law breakers though, so I have to assume Trump is, to some degree, just skipping the asylum hearings.

SOME explanation of why Perez was shot would be really helpful. The longer DHS waits, the more the Dems will have an uncontradicted story.

You might be right in terms of sheer volume. It takes money to hire lawyers to fight deportation. Probably the vast majority of asylum seekers can't afford attorneys.

His vehicle was never going in reverse. There is nothing shown yet to show how Perez could have been a threat to anyone.

ANYTHING? You see Perez's car STATIONARY, pointed AWAY from the ICE vehicle. You hear gunshots, THEN Perez's vehicle rolls slowly forward a few feet.
Most important, you don't see anyone in front of Perez's vehicle. Again, maybe there was something BEFORE the video that justified the shooting. It's telling that not even ICE has claimed anything to justify the shooting.

Is there any dispute with the ABC headline? DHS said it was an officer involved shooting and that Perez was treated for his wound and is in stable condition. Doordash confirmed that Perez was delivering for them when the incident occurred.
From that undated post, the attorney sure seems like an awful person. Has she lied about the Perez shooting?
