ICE raided 7 different processing plants today in MS and made 680 arrests. I'm sure there will be talking points about separating families from this.

I went to high school with an executive at Peco, who was hit by these raids. She is as corrupt as you can imagine.

Karma hit her in the face with a shovel a few years ago. You'd think she would have learned.

I'm curious if MS had issued government IDs to them or if they had fake IDs.

How do employers get away with not vetting hires in the first place? How can you generate a paycheck with invalid social security and tax withholding??

I can't believe any employer can get away with not reporting tax info on their employees.

If they're lying about employee income then they're cooking the books already so I think they're in for a heap of bad things in their near future.

I guess I haven't been to MS lately..

Been saying this for years. Until the feds make it impossible to stay in business if they get caught, or hold those hiring illegals personally responsible, it'll just continue to be a revolving door.

That's who you have to go after. Fine them $500,000 per illegal arrested, regardless of company size. Once you start making this painful for the employers there will be no incentive for them to hire illegals.

Until there is some process to issue work visas for folks to come here to work for a period and return home(no benefits or birthright citizenship for their kids born here) harder hitting consequences for companies hiring these folks is one of the only ways to deter it.

Don't disagree with this either. That's the other half of the equation. We need to deport the illegals and we also need to enact real penalties to those using their cheap labor, it drives down the wages of honest, legal Americans
