ICE Agent Shot in California
Why identify him by his profession? About as relevant as whether or not he drinks his liquor neat.

But, here you are, again, trying to convince yourself you don't have a predetermined conclusion.
I don't have a predetermined conclusion. When I saw the story, someone commented that that was the first time they had heard of an ICE agent---on or off duty---getting shot.
I researched it briefly, I couldn't find any other times that an ICE agent had been shot. Again, maybe I missed something.
Given that ICE interacts with so many bad guys, I was just surprised that none of the bad guys had ever shot any ICE agents.

Homeowner shot him
FAFO..
shouldnt go out in public after drinking if can't handle it. I have zero problem with him getting his azz shot off for fricking with someone defending their property...i dont see where his employer is relevant unless the employer teaches them to go get drunk, pass out on a strangers lawn and then try to fight with them when they make you leave..he's a clown, just happens to be employed by ICE. Same with any other job

Are the number of shootings done by ICE related to actual threats they face?
Dumb take and you know it. Almost all have been on video and the perp is clearly at fault. Not even maybe at fault.

That seems pretty obvious...not just based on this.
Sounds like you do. Are you real? Are you a robot? We need a prove you're human check box thingy around here

Because the federal government chose to issue him a gun and a badge.

He wasn't on duty.

Also, goes into the political debate about the nature of ICE.
You're asked how its political, and you respond with this vague bullshite.
Weak.

How does this event factor in?

Screening and supervision of ICE agents. Are they as good as other LEO...or did ICE hire some mall cops?
Do you ask this of any profession after a member of their profession commits a felony, or are you only asking this of ICE?

So if he worked for any other branch of local, state or federal government you'd still be making a thread about it, right?

I didn't automatically think DHS has made some bad hires. Based on what I've seen, I think that now. THEY have hired thousands of agents in a short amount of time. Of course, there are going to be some bad apples.

What have you seen be specific?
The hiring is what you actually want to flap your gums about.
Not an off duty agent.
What a clown

I'm not flapping my gums. I posted a story of interest. Aren't you surprised that no ICE agents have been shot before?

AI Overview
Public data sources and trackers (such as ABC News, The Trace, and CBS News) track the number of individuals shot by ICE and federal immigration agents, rather than the reverse.
Maybe that's the interesting part of any of this.

I was just so shocked I'd never seen a story about ICE agents being shot before guys! Enjoy this story about this topic, which is also strangely 90% about ICE being irresponsible, but that's not what I'm interested in
You've crossed definitively into retard territory or you're a very very unskilled troll
