And what does that even mean

Been talking to quite a bit of Iranians lately and the consensus is that the RG and supporters only make up about 20% of the country. The rest are tired of their BS.
However, they are also the one's with the guns and if the last couple weeks are any indication, they don't mind using them.
Also, we have a weird problem where Iran's own government is disincentivized from peace because internal divisions can fracture in peace. As long as Israeli and US munitions are hitting Iran, there will be just enough popular consent to steady the government's position in crisis.
The US isn't the only country capable of Toby-Keith-Boot-Up-Their-arse mentality when attacked even if they're far less capable of applying said boot to arse than the US.

Spoken like a Russian propaganda account.
Nah, spoken like a guy that want's to see Detroit look like Dubai and, well, not Detroit.

That’s the same and included in the 2nd option

Well then you’re a damn fool and I can’t help you have a good day

Senate passes the BBBill.
AIPAC lobby loses their leverage.

I said ignore the U.S. Your second option has Iran terrorizing U.S. bases.
If Iran wants to continue this fight in some form or fashion it would be in their best interest to avoid provoking the U.S. further. With that said, they probably won't be able to help themselves.
I fully expect that we will get a direct retaliation attack from Iran or a false flag attack from Israel that will be blamed on Iran very soon. We have too many powerful people that want full scale war with Iran really really badly.

Whether officially or unofficially, the US will be involved in regime change in Iran.

I think they try to out last all this stuff. The only issue is then Israel my attempt a regime change. And current regime obviously wouldn't like that.
A lot depends on whether they have nukes. If we disabled their capabilities then they have limited leverage. If they have Nuke capability then they can apply leverage.
They can try to get nukes from others but that should be detectable.

I guess I can see this, but can you elaborate?

We have to be involved to some degree but the person has to be well received or else unrest and possible civil war breaks out
I imagine there will be a change at the top. We just won’t want a worse leadership. The ayatollah is likely going to try to appoint his successor who will be a person younger, possibly more extreme and thus, a problem for everyone. We have to stop that from happening

I think (and hope) that's the way it'll go down. They have to save face, so there will be some type of response.
And the board will be full of people melting about the retaliation.

They need to punch back to save face and maintain support from their radical base which tends to lean into violence.
