It's a bad ideal, because the implication is that all other sins aren't deadly when all sins are actually the same in terms of "deadliness.

This is incorrect as the bible makes clear that some sins are not only against God but also will consume you. Think addiction and homosexuality.

Human nature. Progessivism is a religion. Takes a lot of faith and voodoo like global warming and covid. Cannot be questioned. They even have a diet (bugs, vegan etc). Kill free speech. Cancel people.

Same as every religion ever.

How many times have you heard Christians admit to not understand an issue but kept on believing anyways?

You're a slave to divine revelation. You're not a slave to another man's mistakes in philosophy.
I have never understood the PRIDE that religious folks take in just BELIEVING something for which there exists ZERO objective evidence ... as if naivety and gullibility were some sort of virtues.

And the funny thing is that the vast majority of THEM see things the same way ... if you exclude their religion from the discussion.

Kind of like reading an article on drag queen story time and making an "informed" decision.

John Adams was an elitist prick. I don't give 2 shits about his thoughts.

I've heard of people dying from exhaustion during a triathlon or something, but not during a frickaton. If so your heart was already a few beats away from death.

Death is 100 percent, thanks to sin. The wages refer specifically to eternal and spiritual death, but I suspect you know that already and are making a poor attempt at humor. Keep trying buddy

Much of progressivism is modeled after religion. No doubt. Even has original sin and lots of guilt.

Christians made a spiritual thing very legalistic, which is a failure.

And that is exactly why Jesus called out the hypocrisy of Pharisees.

That said, it doesn't mean the Church is a failure; It only means the Church is being culled from its great pretenders and apostate elements (Ex: Terrible teachings, invasion from demonic elements, accepting apostate ministers who eliminate/twist Scripture to accommodation LGQT "inclusion.")

The Church has been experiencing a great falling away -- the "Apostasy," but it has been prophesied. God eventually "dividing the wheat from the Chaff."

Next up on God's Agenda: The "Rapture"

Precisely.

Legalism (secular or religious) is for immoral, non thinking people who require systems because they've destroyed their own intuition.

The wisdom of our Founding Fathers. The same Founding Fathers these people love to hate.
ONE "Founding Father" ... and the most-religious of the lot.

Franklin and Jefferson were laughing at Adams as they were swilling good wine and short-sheeting his bed.

By this same logic, Christians worship more than God.

This is actually true.

"Christians" had better start cleaning up their game and focusing a lot more on God and less on the pagan-world "entertainment" distractions.

(It still doesn't get pagans, agnostics, and atheists off the hook.)

If polled, I suspect that more than half of purported Christians would say with confidence that the “Seven Deadly Sins“ come directly from a single Bible verse, as opposed to a popular 14th century Italian poet… the Jackie Collins of his day.

You are probably correct, here. Many atheists know much more of God’s Word than many Christians do. Yet, they do not know God. The Bible is written so that a child can understand its general message, and is simultaneously so complex that it can entertain the most intelligent, investigative minds- without end.
If you’re looking for a reason to doubt- you will find it. If you’re looking for a reason to believe- you’ll find it. It is your choice. God is not going to override your free will.

Because they are legalists.
