I like your post.

Americans do not want to lose their Constitutional rights.
Many America’s are simply birds searching for a cage. There are many that would absolutely welcome “Hate speech” laws, government censorship of “right-wing” POV, and many other things.

Te right isn’t much better. Why the seem to value their rights: the only rights you keep are the ones you’re willing to fight (politically) for.

They simply want the benefits that European and Nordic countries have.
Yes, but this is an ignorant point of view for most. They do not understand the costs thst come along with those “benefits”.

People believe they’d be OK with european levels of taxation. But we’re already almost there for most of the “middle” class—and we have massive deficits.

We’d need taxation rates approaching 60-70% (at the federal level) to make even basic universal services work. And not just on “the rich”. down to e $50k per year levels.

Think people making $50k/yr want to pay $30k/yr (plush payroll taxes and local) in taxes? I don’t.

But they are being fed the lie that everything can be paid for by “the rich”.

Further, America is the third most populated country on earth. A European country doesn’t make the list until Germany at 19 with 1/4 of the population we have. A Nordic country doesn’t make the list until the 70s and 80s with less than 1/10 our population.
People have no sense of scale—population or size. Most countries in Europe are about equivalent to a US state. “Trains are awesome in europe you can be in ano her country in 4 hours!”. It’s a bit like saying “you can’t go from Baton Rouge to Biloxi in just 4 hours!”.

SOLUTION: Pack your bags and GTFO! Europe sounds like the perfect place for you and 81 million others....
I know people hate when emigration is suggested. But it’s real. Virtually no one immigrates to europe from the US for healthcare or any other benefits. And s many of those countries have strict immigration policies as well.

It’s worth asking why do immigrants come tot the US instead of utopian Europe. The answer it pretty simple. While th eye have lots of “free” stuff—europe lacks economic opportunity and mobility.

You can’t just keep adding.

If you want to double our welfare spending we have to cut something else.

So what do you suggest we cut?

And how do you feel about immigration and border security?

How do you feel about your ability to choose a doctor and treatment vs government decided doctors and treatment?

How do you feel about biotech companies and medicinal advances?

If we don’t see inflation in the next couple years I’ll be all for printing as much money as they want.

Their utopian world is unsustainable.

Sigh i voted Trump but come on morals? He's a billionaire who spent time in Hollywood and partying and hanging with Billy Clinton and with some of the scummiest scumbags on this earth stars, starlettes, democrats and republicans. Im sure he has maybe a moral singular but not morals plural. Amoral more like it. I dont think there's been a politician with any real and decent morals in a long long time.

The thing that scares me most is the younger generation is being programmed how to not think for themselves.

This happened for older generations decades ago. I can say that because I'm old and watched it first-hand.

Younger generations have simply learned truths. They're not the ones living in echo chambers and refusing to acknowledge when they're wrong.

All anyone has to do is look at Twitter for a minute and know this to be the farce it is.
