Tariffs are deflationary, not an expert, it’s just that history has shown that. I’ve seen almost every expert, even the Fed talk about them causing inflation, but throughout history that’s not been the case. Even recently in Trump’s first term, and this term, inflation has trended down. Now, the Fed printing is what causes inflation, and they have recently been propping up the banks by buying the short end of the curve, and foresee them buying the long end shortly, and that’s going to spike inflation, but it isn’t tarrifs….

No, let’s rejoice. I’ll join the party. We love debt and borrowing money as long as billionaire reality stars are the ones doing

Its almost comical that most of these uneducated people talk shite from a position of living off a government full of politicians with absolutely no education in the economy or business.

Well, when your business plan incorporates getting stolen intellectual property rights, or slave labor, to make the shipped in product...then maybe tarrifs aren't the problem.

There are many many other small businesses that compete against your examples, that do it right with American products and struggle because losers by cheap shite overseas, and decimate their business.

Ever think of them, moron?

Well in the case of Minneapolis, now that democrats arent handing out money to immigrants to do nothing and have no actual business....somewhere over 9 billion dollars. Estimates are a trillion a year nationwide.

The same progressives who think an income tax of 50% or more for top earners is a great idea also say that 10-15% reciprocal tariffs are a tax and devastating to the economy. Progressives were all about some protectionism before Trump

This is nothing new. When Trump was slapping tarifffs around, those "experts" were telling us it would wreck our economy and increase inflation.
None of the doom and gloom predicted by the TDS folks has yet to come to pass! Nothing. Yet, they continue...
Must suck to be them.

I'll go one further.... Marxist Dems WILL NOT win seats in the mid terms.
Even though the majority the GOP are spineless cowards, tax paying American voters will not vote for the Marxist Dems.

You have somehow managed to post even dumber smut than VOR. Nicely done.

You don’t think a guy who builds internationally recognized hotels and resorts knows anything about tariffs?

Did you have these same concerns during COVID, when your side destroyed small businesses nationwide??

She acts like Trump has never talked about tariffs and just learned about them. It's baffling.

The dude is known for saying "tariffs is his favorite word" and she acts like Economist Trump doesn't understand how they work. Smfh.

I’m no expert by any stretch. I have just given my perspective in some of the other threads as a business owner who pays a substantial amount in tariffs. And yes, it has negatively affected my business. The inconsistency with tariff rates make it difficult to run my business. That’s a reality.

When the discussion starts with international law, it is way more nuanced than "economists and tariffs".

It’s way more nuanced than to say they will cause a Great Depression.

Which is what the supposed smart people were saying.
