This is admittedly susceptible to a small sample bias problem, but my completely anectdotal example is from my mom...

Disclaimer: she is an AVID anti-trumper (I know, I know, but what can you do, it happens with some old folks). One of the hardcore Catholic types who values decency and kindness as high as anything else, so Trump’s style has always been appalling to her. Even with that backdrop, she has continually praised trump for his response to this pandemic. She says it’s the most presidential she’s ever seen him, that he’s done everything right in this crisis, and that she appreciated the daily briefings and the information they provide.

I say all of that to make this point: if even SHE genuinely appreciates and values these press conferences, then I know with almost absolute certainty that a huge portion of independent and swing voters will as well. So I don’t know where you are getting this idea that the pressers are swinging things in Biden’s direction. My (admittedly limited) perspective is that they will have the exact opposite effect.

Results:

More: 45%
Less: 36%

Biden is just killing it in his national TV appearances! I mean who wouldn't be inspired and motivated from those speeches!!
