The IRS itself admits it is riddled with fraud.

Its not a tax credit, the govt actually cuts you a check if you arent taxable. As an example, If you are single with one child and make 25K and pay no taxes the govt sends you 3500 bucks.

I read an article a few years back about one scam. Guy goes to a meat packing plant and talks to workers about giving him their W2s and he will give them a couple hundred bucks when he does their returns and they sign off.

The IRS knew they had a problem when a dozen checks were cut for the same address.....in Mexico.

It needs to be looked at overall. That idiocy needs to be stricken from the tax code. Permanently. Completely. Absolutely.

It's just a direct pipeline from a taxpayer's tax payments right into the pocket of lazy fricks and fraudsters.

But of course the left would cry and throw a fit.

Market it as saving an absolute shite ton of money for Americans who need it and sell that shite as hard as you can to the typical recipients of the tax money.

How can this be difficult?

Make poor Americans fully understand that the fraud is directly taking from them.

How is every dollar not tracked? And can software not flag ALL of this? I refuse to believe it wouldn’t be possible to end the fraud.

We cannot move forward in any productive way without ending this shite.

Another thing about this - you know those stats that the top 50% income tax filers pay 97% of the Federal Income Tax, the top 5% pay 59%?

LINK

It's way worse than that. First, that's only filers, many low income people don't bother to file. And here's the kicker - those tax credits are not counted in this at all!

Its just horseshite. Its also why doge was so opposed by congress. They WANT all these programs siloed so various depts cant check to see the bundled benefits people are earning put them WELL above the poverty line.

No illegal should be here and they certainly should not be getting any benefits. You show up to a hospital, you dont get to birth the anchor baby, you show US citizenship or we ship you and the mongrel home upon release from the hospital.

If I get into Mexico or Canada illegally, can I draw some welfare benefits?

Yes, they will look into it. They will look very very hard, talk about it, discuss it, and nothing will happen.

No taxpayer should EVER receive more money in a refund check than they paid in taxes originally.
