The progressive would rather have a sweat shop of child labor in Vietnam make their cheap goods and then have disposable income to give to nonprofits who will hire their friend to lead protest of child labor than have working class Americans make the good in the US and pay a bit more for the goods. The left hates workers.

Is the host sure that the white collar workers were not talking about hand jobs ?

The tariffs may make it too expensive to import materials and equipment to build new plants. So, there’s that…

Sounds like you need to get off the meth (or is it crack?), and work on your basic English skills.

I’m not suggesting labor isn’t needed in construction but don’t discredit the OP by posting a projection.

We have most, if not all, of the materials and resources we need right here in our own borders to re-establish our manufacturing strength.
That's an aspect of production-based economics that always gets ignored in these debates. There's a trickle down effect.
People want to focus on Joe Sixpack who bombed the SAT standing on the assembly line making widgets. But before that ever happens, someone needs to design, construct and build the assembly line. And before that happens someone needs to design, build and transport the components of that construction and engineering project. And before that happens someone needs to procure the raw materials and energy needed to make those components. And after all of this is done, and Joe Sixpack is making his widgets, you still need people to repair, maintain and replace everything.
These are all respectable, decent paying jobs.
