I haven't read much about Yang, but in his UBI version does he get rid of all other entitlements, or is the $1,000 per month on top of everything else?

Also, does everyone get it or is it means tested?

I agree. UBI may sound like a radical idea, but the marxists have been trying to rob people for a long time now.

I get what you're saying. He doesn't seem to automatically assume that people who disagree with the left are racist Nazis. He has radical socialist ideas but he doesn't seem to hate people that disagree with him...which, compared the rest of the candidates, is refreshing.

Everyone gets it. Every individual pays in the same too.

What is this supposed to prove? Nobody is advocating completely eliminating taxes, and it's been a while since I've read ol' Tom Paine, but I bet he's arguing for contributing back to society via good works, charity, and providing jobs, not an ever increasing amount of taxes.

He's literally advocating for socialism and calling it UBI

I think his basic premise is every adult gets UBI and that other forms of welfare are greatly reduced.

"His UBI plan would replace existing social welfare benefits rather than build upon them."

This is probably why he's not getting more love from the Dems. If he was saying everyone gets to keep their food stamps, government housing, AND gets another $1000 a month on top of that, they'd be all for it.

Dems don't want the middle class to get anything. We're suppose to just shutup and work and fork over a share for the poor class, reducing our standard of living while the under-performers of society get their cut.

Just because you like one of his ideas doesn't mean he isn't a complete leftist loon. Universal Income. I need say no more. Wealth redistribution. He is as left as they come.

He may not be like a Beto or a Cory but his "we better get to higher ground" statement about climate change is shear lunacy. He is a "man can control climate/weather clown" who makes him a nut job in another category.

Anyone who actually votes for some who says "vote for me and I will make it comfortable for you on earth" are nut jobs.
