I did. I obviously dont think its acceptable in black culture to cheat on someone. Do you have a way to counter this or are you being typical zach?

Do those stats include two moms (lesbians)?

I agree with what you said, I'm just curious if it's a male parental figure or just two parents that increases the likelihood of success so much. Or is there even a measurable difference?

Yes

Do you value diversity?

I suppose one could argue that the single women raising their kids might have a share in the blame as well.

100% agree. Pretty hard to disagree with, really.

But how do you fix it?

I think some changes to laws need to be made to remove the incentives for fatherless families. But that won't fix things by itself.

Oh and this issue is growing across all racial groups.

Why don't you start by explaining why fatherlessness is so prevalent in the black community? We can at least debate those merits.

Has nothing to do with me, I'm just asking for statistics. If the issue is "fatherless homes", which I agree is a huge issue, is it not fair to ask if the difference is the lack of the male parent or just having to do the job alone (single parents)?

1). The war on drugs

2). Welfare programs favor single mothers

I'd say it boils down to education and glorifying rich athletes and "artists".

I could probably backtrack any leading issue to a lack of education.

I doubt there are enough lesbian households with kids to make any fair inference.

I could be wrong. I hope not.

Fathers are marginalized in popular culture. Dads are usually doofuses if they are shown at all.

It doesnt help when people like Angelina Jolie are out there saying her kids don't need a father.

So you dispute the fact that more than 70% of black families are fatherless due to fornication and a casual attitude to promiscuity?

With access to public education, what makes this an issue? Why aren't they valuing education more?

There statistics could be completley accurate; however, since the suicide one seemed a bit more questionable, I Googled if and all I can find are the same exact statistics that cite the course but I can't figure out where to find the specific data from the source.

Does anyone have the actual links?

because back in the day women had to put up with whatever to make sure their kids and them had a roof over them

Now that's not the case. Kids might not have a father in the house, but the mother is happy there's no cheating scumbag

I think the public education (at least in the south east) is a pretty borken system. Kids have no role models and see rappers and athletes get rich without having to take their education seriously.
