Hunter S. Thompson wrote a wonderful essay 20 years age about the "Weather Geeks" and the way that they hype this stuff. Google it. It is worth the read and insightful despite the deranged mind it originated from. Surf's up.

I paused on Fox News while flipping channels and they had a reporter on the beach. As they were discussing the storm they then cut to Nungesser on the phone discussing New Orleans. They cut to canned footage of devastation and sinkholes in Puerto Rico. No explanation and any casual observers thought it was Nate footage

Amazing that people look forward to destruction and devastation in hopes of achieving fame in their occupation.

I've been beating that drum for 50 years and all I get is 'better safe than sorry, Zach.' Well, hell, don't leave your house today. You might get run over by a bus.
