Was just wanting to post and see how all our board people are doing. We are without power but that seems to be almost everyone around me. Luckily I didn't have any damage. We had a road washed out and a bunch of trees down. I was able to make my way into Niceville earlier and the roads are fairly clear. Got up this morning and helped other neighbors clear our roads where we could.

Let the cleanup party begin.
Y’all stay safe.

My cleanup is done for now. I'm about to grab some beers and watch this Georgia vs Alabama game.

Not for insurance adjusters and contractors.

I hate hurricanes, but since you can't stop them I was thinking I might get some rain out of it. But, it veered to the west so no rain.

Yea, they said our highest winds got up to 105. For about an hour and a half the winds were pretty bad but the trees around me held up.

Like clockwork you show up in every hurricane thread!
Pretty sure what you offer would be received best on the Soccer board!

Make of list of all damage and pray that you don't have State Farm . If you do have State Farm, go ahead and shrink that list down to nothing

Sad reality. I vividly remember my dad fighting with State Farm for years after Katrina. Nothing has changed in that regard.

The money that they will give you is a slap in the face. I told my adjuster that if I had known that was the amount I would get , I would have never filed a claim.

The danger of hurricanes is always exagerated in media. It's not for safety. It's for audience ratings.

Try USAA. It took about 3 weeks for approval and funds were released that same day after Helene.

Sincere thoughts and I prayers to those cleaning up.

Storms in the northeast always garner more attention because the people are more important than us rednecks.

That's great news. 105 MPH sounds rough.

Everything is good at my place here in Pensacola. I lost some shingles, had a downed tree, and lost power for about 14 hours. I consider myself very lucky.

I'm west side Pcola and but for power out you wouldn't know a hurricane passed by. Friends on the east side got it pretty good.
