He's a doctor and a very good one. Tate is not. A MD/Phd should always trump a governor when it comes to health. They don't just give out those degrees.

that seems about right. mississippi might be the most unhealthy state in the country. not a suprise people kill over all the time. has a high death rate per capita without covid, so w/e.

Stating that the death rate in Mississippi is 2nd behind Peru is grossly misleading. One thing that is abundantly clear to any casual observer is that Mississippians are morbidly obese. Their obesity rates are among the highest in the country. Fat people tend to have co-morbidities like type II diabetes. And they tend to die at higher rates once infected with Covid. No surprise there. However, all things being equal, there is not much of a difference in death rates between healthy Mississippians and healthy folks from other states. So let's deal with the elephant in the room and acknowledge that poor black people with a poor diet, who refuse the be vaxxed, are skewing the results. Healthy, hardy people, no matter which state they reside in, have very little to worry about.
