How would Biden’s handlers deal with a debate against Trump or Desantis?

I mean Biden handled his own against Trump in 2020. They both have the same bombastic style and approach. DeSantis is the more polished Trump and would destroy Biden. Trump's major pitfall was never focusing on his accomplishments, such as the lowest black unemployment rate ever, great GDP, etc... And getting into pissing matches because he was challenged. DeSantis wouldn't take the bait like Trump did.
I will always believe that if Trump didn't behave like he did in the first debate with Biden he would've held enough white suburban woman to win all of the swing states. Like it or not white suburban women care about "restoring norms"

Then why weren't suburban women a similar problem for him in 2016? Or worse at that point, actually. Because it wasn't like the press and the Left didn't have a very aggressive campaign to taint his reputation with them leading up to that election, with the "pussy grabbing" and plethora of allegations of supposed sexual assault incidents, etc. It would stand to reason that he would've had much more problem with suburban women then, rather than in 2020. But we're to believe that suddenly a debate performance did him in with those folks? But even if someone were to argue that it was something else....it still doesn't make much sense.

The host(s) would just spend the entire debate interjecting on behalf of Biden, and constantly throwing out the words "debunked", "unfounded" and "racist" at Trump/Desantis.
It would be a fricking shitshow with an assault coming relentlessly from every direction at Biden's opponent. They will crowd the conversation with enough lies and bullshite that it won't give Biden the opportunity to speak and step on his own dick. Whoever faces Biden will have no fair chance on stage, by very deliberate design.

You are right about this. Trump couldn't help himself and did a poor job in the Biden debates. The man was such a good President but his love for the fight got in the way

In the future when the Chris Wallaces of the world stick their noses in it they need to be told point blank " Look these people aren't here and watching on TV to hear what you think, I am not debating you. Bring up the topics and be quiet while I wipe the floor with this guy."
