I lean left and voted for Beto and Abbott. Cruz is so unlikable and Abbott has done a good job. My wife saw a tweet tonight that said evidence shows the Beto/Abbott voter is real.

You need to remember something, Trump exposed Cruz as somewhat weak but the bigger factor is the influx of Prog/Dims and Hispanics into TX over the past several years.

That sounds crazy. How can go for 2 diff extremes and be ok with that? Beto is charismatic so you voted for him. Abbot is conservative so you voted for him?

No, I said I lean left so I like Beto more. I pointed out that I also voted for Abbott even though that is against my normal leanings. I was trying to show how Abbott could greatly out perform Cruz. Also, of course personality matters. People aren’t robots, and it’s crazy to think they don’t vote with emotions.
