I realize that statistically flying is incredibly safe up to this point.
I only pose the question because I have been seeing new reports on Twitter from old pilots saying that shite is going downhill fast in regards to pilot training and competency.

I also remember Tucker doing a segment on it recently as well. With all the push for diversity and the backlog of pilots they are rushing through to keep planes in the air.. is it really the safest anymore?

I won’t stop flying but now I have this slight uneasiness about it.

Tucker us a shock jock. He gets views when he pushes fear and conspiracy.

Don't know how people don't get that.

Computers have made flying very safe. I have a good friend who flies internationally. The only real concerns he has are certain foreign airports not being run well or are falling apart.

Having said that, he now only flies domestically as he recently got married and took a job with a major domestic carrier.

They've been hiring female pilots for years. Are you comfortable when YOUR wife or girlfriend drives and is on her period?

Yeah, that's how I feel about female pilots.

Ryanair has some of youngest pilots in the industry. They've had zero accidents in their over 30 year history. The likes of American, United, etc with their much older pilots can't make that claim. They've killed a lot of passengers. It comes down to quality of training. Not age. The US pilot unions are a lying militant bunch that love to spread fear propaganda.

Not as safe as it used to be, but still pretty safe.....you have a much greater chance being killed in the car on the way to the airport, than you do on the plane itself.

Depends on your skin color tbh. Destroya has to fly first class because of the risks involved if she were to fly with the rest of us.

my dad was a military pilot. he started teaching me in a piper cub when i was 6. when i was 8 i learned about packing the parachute. when i was 14 he showed me a jet trainer crash site.
when i was 18 i flew commercial first time.
a dc-3.
when the stewardess finished her explanation she asked if any questions. i rang the buzzer.
"wheres my parachute."
she said commercial passengers dont get them. i threw up.

Very safe… the redundancy with the equipment and requirement for two individuals in cockpit at all times takes almost everything you see elsewhere out of the equation.

I try to only fly when I know my pilot will be an Asian man (i.e. PAL, Singapore Airlines, etc.)

As long as they can land, no problems. The planes today fly themselves. But back when dad flew private frequently a few decades ago, he said he always felt comfortable with the pilot that flew C-130s into Khe Saun, dodging RPGs

It's still incredibly safe. Outliers abound in every facit if life. Complacency is a disease of the lazy.

According to Latoya Cantrell black women are only safe in first class...

At least that is what she told the people investigating her for abuse of travel funds on the public dole.
