Read page 1 of this thread. Also see rammerjammer. You may not like my point. But it’s the truth.

I know he's going to lose, but I'll be pissed because he's going to damage down-ballot Republicans and cost us Senate and House seats that we have no business losing for the 4th cycle in a row.

The problem isn’t DeSantis. It’s his followers that turn voters off.

Speaking of having a lack of self awareness

If you’re so easily influenced you probably shouldn’t be voting in the first place.

What are your thoughts on MAGA supporters on Twitter, Loomer, Steven Cheung, Alex Bruesewitz, Karoline Leavitt, Gavin Wax, Johnny Maga, etc?

I’m familiar with Loomer. She is nutty. Don’t know any of the others. I do know you just said trump she be told to commit suicide if he loses in 2024. You also think that he shouldn’t be allowed in public. I’m going to wager you are more of a nut than any of those people you listed.

So parsing two statements clearly intended to lead the public to believe they would not run isn’t important to me.

That’s dumb. He didn’t parse anything. He said that he wasn’t focusing on running for President. That’s not parsing. Anyone who wants to understand it can.

No you don’t. He is one of 45 men to ever be elected President. He isn’t facing the drop boxes in 3 states. His support is high after the political prosecution. You have no clue if he can or can’t win the presidency.

:sigh: Read the thread. Trump voters weren’t voting for DeSantis. The undecided voters is who DeSantis needed to pick up. Every single one of them. And they are turned off by the antics of DeSantis supporters. It may not be fair but that is the way it is. Y’all poisoned the well and he may be unelectable because of it.

I'm not...it's gonna be fricking horrible.

But what can I do? I feel like I'm chained to you guys and you're pulling us all over the cliff.

And once we're at the bottom, again, there will be innumerable excuses as to why it happened...and none of them will matter.

He said rumors about him running were “nonsense”. I agree he didn’t parse at all.

Will you vote for Trump when he is the nominee?

Personally I'll vote for any R nominee as long as they aren't "moderates" like McCain/Romney/Christie/Hailey. Don't understand this idea of not voting for someone who would govern exactly how I want them to 90% of the time just because I supported a different person in the primary.

If I had that view on 2016, I'd have stopped caring after Ben Carson got eliminated in the primary.

They are. Which is why we should be focusing on election integrity and not tearing down the preemptive nominee.

Holy fricking shite!

Why keep asking this? How many times do we keep having to say, "Yes...if Trump is the nominee I'll vote for him," will it take to stop having this asked?

In fact, I've asked that we have a thread stickied at the top of the page where we can ALL answer this exact question..."Will you vote for the GOP nominee regardless of whether it's your guy or not," so we can all go on record and we can stop having this asked over and over.

Never happens, because there's usefulness in ignoring the answers and continuing to ask it as if it's gone unanswered.

Maybe the arse could debate and not hide if you want us to back the "preemptive".

Pisses me the f@ck off. We celebrate those who seek the highest office in the land but won't debate. We deserve what we are going to get!

Yes, I do. The only election he won was because a spoiler took away votes from the Dems. Had it not been for Jill Stein, Trump would’ve lost Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin and lost the Electoral College. In 2020, Dems blocked the Green Party from having ballot access in the swing states. He can’t win unless he has help from a spoiler who takes votes away from the Dem, which is pathetic.

In 2024, Dems will again block Green Party ballot access. And spare me with RFK Jr. playing spoiler to help Trump. He’s a non-entity and the data shows that even if he has a presence, he takes more from Trump.
