Seeing the Flynn sentencing and the prepared indictments on Trump ready to go for Jan 3rd.

We have to be close right? It feels like this country has never been more divided in my life time.

Or does everyone just "go back to sleep"?

Who is going to call for it though? It seems like there needs to be a prominent figure to start the revolution.

Who is going to fall on the sword?

Trump wins the next election or six more years when they come for our guns.

Having just watched the Peter Jackson WWI documentary, let's pray we don't see a war on that scale ever again.

No. Silly political diatribe isn't going to be enough to start shooting our own. Military isn't shooting their civilian counterparts, and citizens aren't going to rally en masse to take on the military and police at a war scale because of overblown rhetoric and social media outcry.

Explain to me how you would prosecute this civil war. Who are you going to actually fight?

We have so much food we throw it away. We have games and entertainment and supercomputers in our hands, we have wealth galore.

There’s not gonna be a civil war unless things get bad and quick

I agree ... but - HYPOTHETICALLY - if there ever was a civil war military and police would be divided as well. If the catalyst was strong enough to divide civilians to this point, it would military and LEOs as well.

No. This board's obsession with a future civil war is so fricking stupid.

A big overreach by the left.

I thought they were too smart to accelerate the creeping socialism, until Trump. Now I know they're desperate enough to do something stupid the next time they're in power.

Remember the goal is removal of choice, and removal of wealth. Removal of both has already gone on with things like social security "contributions" and the individual mandate for Obamacare. In order to make a big jump, they'll need to remove 2nd amendment rights, which is already a goal.

It would take a trigger. Something like an assassination of a major public figure. Or perhaps an attempt, by government officials, to seize someone’s firearms ... that goes wrong. Where a small battle ensues and there is major media coverage about who is right and who is wrong. Or perhaps a series of bombings taking place, either side, at high profile locations.

Or, Congress tries to pass some law that goes wayyyyyyyy over the line.

Who knows what it might be?

Has happened with no civil war.

They have to remove the 2nd A before they go for the next move, confiscation of all private retirement/pension accounts on behalf of the common good.
