They had to know that doing this raid would be "kicking the hornets nest" so they must feel pretty confident with whatever evidence they already have on Trump.l mean they're stupid but not that stupid, right?

He has documents that the MIC doesn’t want released pertaining to their bullshite spying activities on Americans and how they committed election fraud.
ETA - I mean they know he has these documents bc he told them. So they decided it was a matter of national security that he busted them.

Like the proof they had to go on tv every night and say the setting president was a Russian asset. Or the proof they had to impeach a president twice. I mean I guess they would have substantial proof with all the consequences they have faced for making unfounded accusations against Trump in the past.

I just have to laugh at it. Supposedly they have allllll this evidence regarding Jan 6 and those hearings but yet they still needed to raid his home? Laughable.

At best maybe some intel docs that they are not really worried about. It's not about the documents.
The catalyst was an article by Maggie Hagerman that showed a torn note in a toilet with Stefanik's name on their and the quoting of a source in Trump's inner circle that said this was commonplace.....but this person is the only one saying this.
Presidents destroy handwritten stuff all the time. I have a friend who was Secret Service who told me that Obama and Bush used to throw handwritten notes away regularly

No. I think he has documents related to the opinions of his advisors on what happened, and information about cybersecurity on machines- and morons like you think it’s criminal conduct to have opinions and file lawsuits.

No, they are not stupid. This is not about documents or the possible destruction of hand written notes. Personally I think Biden, et al has another few things up their sleeve and DOJ and the FBI/CIA are shitting bricks over it because if Republicans take both houses of Congress in November, so many will have to quit because the payback for a lot that has happened since January 2019 has been beyond the pall.

Riiiight. FBI convinced a federal judge to make the unprecedented step of raiding the home of an ex president b/c he had non classified opinions from his legal team.
