Did you notice that the playboy models seemed "mature" and not at all age bait material?
It's hard to judge age simply by looks. Some girls look older than their age.

Okay, now you are just being retarded.
Yeah...the Playboy Empire is going to publish pics of underage girls?
Could Hef have had secret relations with underage girls? IDK...but he would have been an idiot. He was being watched.
But everyone was SUPER conscious and stalwart about age...because porn was under attack and any slip-up would bring it all down. Hef was really above board at least publicly because he had to be to make it legit. He really started and maintained for a long-time older women...it wasn't until the 90's that he went to 18-22 with College Campus Co-Eds stuff.
(and you're lying, there isn't tons of girls who have claimed they posed nude underage...)
There's basically Traci Lords and nobody else (who had a legitimate real Driver's License from California and a US Passport - that said she was of age.
I mean, if you can't trust the government...how can you trust the government? Amirite?

This makes little sense. Heff was in the sex industry.

Your premise would be valid if Heff had only made porn in the 70's when he was under scrutiny, but he continued making it right until the present.
Are you saying that the government was still survealing him in the 2000's? Do you think their age verification process was as vigorous now as it was then?

And people that work in the sex industry never have sex with underage girls, exploit women or use power to seek sexual favors?

Hef did not hide who he was.

Am I being...is this candid internet camera?
After the almost total disastrous Traci Lords scandal...the verification process now - isn't as rigirous?
By a major corporation like Playboy?
Shite Taco Bell wants to know how old you are...you know, child labor laws.
But pornographers aren't going to be absolutely certain?
Yeah...because Prison is fun...and ruining Billions is nothing to worry about.

The brainwashed fundy view. Neat.

You have links to Hefner doing this?

Id have to see some links here. The sex industry has much different rules though than say, Hollywood
I mean, in an atmshpherecthat is ruled by free sex and the expectations are known the girls of playboy aren't exactly innocent.
What are the accusations against Hefner? I must be behind the times

I beat Matt Walsh to this point!

It's been a bad month for perverts. We started with the death of Hugh Hefner, an elderly pimp with an affinity for bathrobes who spent six decades sexually exploiting young, desperate women. A couple of weeks later we saw the professional death of Harvey Weinstein, a slightly younger pimp with an affinity for bathrobes who spent three decades sexually exploiting young, desperate women. But, as I'm sure you've noticed, the reaction to these two men has been drastically different. For just one illustration, take a look at how The Daily Beast has reported on the physical and professional demise of Hefner and Weinstein, respectively. They've published many blaring headlines rightfully calling Weinstein a "predator" whose "reign of terror" left countless victims in its wake. As for Hefner, they lauded his "civil rights legacy" and credited him with "bringing sex out of the shadows." The fact that he "brought sex out of the shadows" by objectifying thousands of women, while keeping a harem of teenage girls who performed sexual acts on his elderly, decrepit body because they thought it was the best way to advance their softcore porn careers, is apparently irrelevant.

Not taking up for heffner, but it was no secret what he was about.
Any girl who didn't realize that going in,would have to be retarded.
different situation,don't you think?

Both men were exploiting women sexually for personal gain. One just had the hindsight of inventing a way to do it and appear more respected while doing it.

I think you meant foresight.
Here's the thing,he had a magazine of naked women. The girls involved knew the price going in. There was no secret.

Comparing Hefner to Weinstein is a false equivalency.
In the same way, the prudish outrage against the contemptible practice of sexual harrassment and assault to the point of apparently insisting that only some kind of weird chasteness is a solution creates false opposites.
While sexual behavior that is belligerent, harmful, or violent should be subject to castigation and punishment, criminalizing virtually every sexual impulse or expression is, in effect, diminishing -if not denying- the very essence of humanity.
Lot of folks look like they're happy to walk down the road toward the likes of a junior Anti-Sex League rather than confront any nuance in this matter...
