I know I would. Let them defend themselves and pay for it. We pay for their defense so that they can have their social welfare state(s). Screw all of them except Poland.

I would put my money in Eastern Europe (former Soviet Bloc) and tell Western Europe to pound sand.

And don’t call when you become Europistan.

Absolutely. Ridiculous for our companies to be competing with those from countries that don’t have to pay for their own defense.

Let me rephrase that for you.....Should the US stop taking our tax money and defending countries that do not want to pay to defend themselves?

I could probably go for that. They are greater allies than any western European country.

Nope but I absolutely would push for reform of it and make the European nations pay their share.

They have first hand knowledge of what tyranny looks like. They don’t want to go back.

How many billions/year could we apply to our national debt?
Would probably be wasted on something anyways...

It may not matter for the next 10-15 years. But at some point, someone’s going to invade some part of Europe without us standing behind them.

And we’ll be asked to step in. So the short term gain may yield a long term loss.

I can use the term “pay their fair share”. Or else, it’s a DIY protection system.

We currently pay for about 70% of Nato's budget I believe.

100% in favor of the US withdrawing from NATO, the United Nations, NAFTA, OAS, etc.

I know it sounds really great and liberating to say this but it ain't going to happen. It is not in our National Interest. And look it up, National Interest is a thing.

Absolutely. Same with the Middle East. I would spend defense money in Africa, South America and Asia.
