Not a troll... I want to know how many people are willing to do the dirty work. There sure are a lot of people here that think a major conflict with Iran is just Trump being MAGA and swinging his big dick... This isn't sports, people die and families break up from these situations, yet people root on like it's a sporting event but won't sacrifice anything themselves.

train me to sit in those big comfy chairs and fly drones, and I'll be ready.

Go get a degree and sign up, we're short on pilots, even drone pilots.

I’m organizing a scrap metal drive this week and will be purchasing war bonds on a regular basis. In the spring I’ll plant a victory garden.

Major conflict you say. Not likely to happen. The facts of military life aren't lost on me.

I take it you are worried.

Isn't possibly fighting in a conflict or war what you signed up for?

I haven't seen anyone on this board saying they wanted a war.

We have the Navy dive school in Panama City Beach. It’s almost across the street from my house on North Lagoon. It’s pretty cool. They train the deep water divers there that wear those big brass helmets. Also they train a lot of Navy SEALs there.

So you expect Iran to back down, not restart its nuclear program, and play nice and stop enabling terrorism?

Anything less would be a defeat for us, with Carter-esque egg on our face.

Please do and give your life for the NWO. So smart, yet so damn dumb.

Anyone foolish enough to join and fight this war is not serving my country. Helps no one here at home. How about joining to guard our borders? Naw. An embassy is more important than lives in the border lost every day, month, year.

I flew my quadcopter over the treetops this morning in preparation.

But there's not going to be a war.

It would be over before any enlisting/commissioning would be complete. That's why your OP was odd.

I'm not worried... I have a strong family and we've done it multiple times before, we'll do it again if need be.

I'm a dive master (soon to be instructor) with a PhD in chemical engineering. Being a professor is nice and all, but academia... So I've been kicking around the idea of joining the navy or space force as an officer for a few months now, so sure I'd sign up.

Then one can only assume your question was stupid. Or you want anyone with an opinion to shut up unless they have skin in the game.

Well, there's always the 20+ years of nation building after the heavy fighting... That's typically when things get dicey.

You sound like Rumsfeld saying the Iraq war would be over in weeks.

If you indiscriminately bomb and kill, perhaps. But we haven’t done that in 75 years.
