I was like 9 when that happened, but yes I hope I would have called that out too.
I had to go back and read the details of the meme coin dinner, here is my opinion.
I don't like it, it looks tacky as shite but Trump doesn't care he is all about tacky shite. He hosted it in Florida and not the White House so I am ok with that as far as fund raising. But if as the article suggest that their were foreign attendees who bought these coins and attended this their names should be released. I think even citizens names should be released because is basically a donation to his political war chest. You won't get much argument from me with donations. I don't like they way both sides tend to sell influence and make no mistake they both do it.

Yes, I do think that’s wrong. Of course I do. I have no cause to believe that has happened here. You are aware that anyone is able to invest in this currency, right? And that the value is down greatly from its previous record high? And that it’s as risky an investment as anything else?
Also, what have you determined has been the evidence of paid-for influence that has changed hands here?

Davy, the guy is monetizing the presidency and it looks terrible.

So do you think it's wrong to sell veiled access to the president, or not?

I don’t believe that’s even comparable. This situation is much, much more nuanced than what’s been presented here. Ask the hardcore naysayers in this thread the source(s) from which they’ve drawn in order to form their opinions and conclusions. Any internet search will yield absolutely nothing but left wing sources that, as any rational and intelligent person must acknowledge, are boldly anti-Trump. So of course those sources are gonna produce a very dismal and damning view of the matter.
It’s absolutely nothing like any Biden situation having been mentioned herein.

I hated that too, do you understand that both things can be true? Why is it okay when DJT does it? It’s not! We need to ask him to stop to avoid the appearance of selling influence and enriching himself off the presidency while in office!

no son i don't understand that, by your own admission you'd check out of "politics" during those years. where were you during the george w. obama nation building years? there's an old saying "there's nothing worse than a whore that's found religion". it cost me a lot to be an american, when i graduated college in 1983 i graduated into an america that took 50 cents on every dollar i made over 28k. and 28k wasn't a lot of money back then. what did it cost you to be an american. so you'll excuse me not caring what some partisan piece from reuters say's i should worry about. what do you think it cost joe kennedy to be named ambassador to england under the roosevelt administration.
grow up boy. your concern trolling is annoying. we don't know who the president has been the last 4 yeas and you don't even phucking care..........you're dismissed.

Yeah that makes attempting to imprison your upcoming election opponent in a Presidential race look like child’s play, amirite
It’s a continual tit for tat and that’s a problem
The stuff that concerns me is how democrats will respond to Trumps zeal for “investing” in private/public companies

Which is incredibly predictable and nasty
Who here remembers all the particulars about Justin Sun situation. I sure some in here will find a way to defend it, I just remember Trump pardoning him and then months later he bought billions worth of “Trump coin”. Somebody in here will remember the details much better
They’ll be writing books about all this beltway mafia type shite for decades. Hopefully they’ll all include the “at least it wasn’t Kamala” shite at the end
