For those of us who are not keeping up with the impeachment hearings and dont really totally understand what all is involved, how long will this last? Is there some kind of time line or approximate amount of time they will spend on it before some kind of decision is made?

TIA

I don’t see how they can drag this out.

There’s nothing there.

The Dems will vote to impeach before Christmas. Look for the Senate Trial to begin in early to mid January.

Does not matter...they must impeach to satisfy the base.

It also gives them something to scream about if another justice appt comes up.

The only thing I got from today's circus is that Trump didn't follow Talking Points the pee-ons made for our foreign policy. Impeach!

Also, because he was in Military, that Trump and Zelensky must also follow the same style of speaking he does in the military, so a favor is a demand.

It would be a disgrace for them to vote yes based on their investigation. It sets a wonderful precedent to impeach a President for literally nothing.

Won’t happen

The Dems are doing this for their base

If it goes to the Senate the Dems will lose control and even their media lapdogs can’t protect them

If it goes to the Senate the Dems lose the house and republicans hold the senate

Trump gets re-elected and replaces Ginsberg, Breyer, and Thomas on SCOTUS

The leftist agenda would be pushed back more than 30+ years if the Dems are dumb enough to send this crap to the senate

Democrats are risking a lot with this impeachment nonsense.

To get enough votes, they are going to have to get some of the newcomers in 50/50 congressional districts to put their names on it one way or another. Seeing as how the Dems won more of those seats last time around, this could be disastrous as most people find this a waste of time. They may very well impeach, but it will likely result in those congress persons getting ousted in the election in 2020, and could not only help keep Trump in Office, but give him back the house and keep the senate for republicans.

That is the scary thought with all of this. They are so focused on ousting Trump, they may cost themselves not only all their gains in the last cycle, but also lose even more than they had before.

I am a centrist liberal, and I am done with anyone associated with the democratic party and I am not alone. That doesn't mean I will vote for Trump, but no democrat is getting my vote. That is for certain.

This is their entire election strategy. No viable candidates. Chronic TDS. So no end.

You are a fading group, but I admire your objectivity at this point in time. Too bad there are not more reasonable folks like you with platforms in the Democrat Party. Not that I would ever vote for a Dem, but at least I could have a modicum of respect for your side. As of now I have less than none and it appears well warranted based upon what you say even being on the left side of things and being fed up with the shenanigans.

This. Dems are majority house. They will lambaste any D Rep that doesn’t comply.

The Senate will kill it.

at least the rest of this week and next week in House Intel.

Then it gets kicked to Judiciary where it will be another 3 weeks.

Then if it goes to Senate, it will be another few months.
