Nah, the police don’t bother me. The last time I had any meaningful interaction with the police was when I was in a car accident 6 years ago. I’m a blonde white woman- certainly not a police target.

Most killings began with police responding to suspected non-violent offenses or cases where no crime was reported.
This is playing fast and loose with the facts. It is and is not your fault that you took their word for it.
Let’s look at the data together:
Domestic disturbances - 55
Person with a weapon - 122
Other crimes against people - 59
Violent Crime - 382
Mental Health/Welfare - 96
Traffic Stop - 109
Other non-violent offense - 264
Unknown - 160
First, we note that the largest category of reasons for interactions that end in an officer killing someone is (completely predictably) violent crime.
1247-160 to remove bad data
1087 where we have data
687 where there’s criminal activity afoot. (Weapon, domestic disturbance, violent crime, other crimes against person).
Charitably leaving out “welfare checks” which can often be precipitated by violent acts in a family setting.
And you have 63% of police killings with the initial contact being precipitated by reports of criminal activity.
You’re welcome.

Policing is actually a VERY big problem in America but liberals have successfully fricked any and all possibility of addressing it by making a race issue.
If the narrative is, "fix the police because they're fricking over black people" then, the human nature reality is to be, "welp, not a problem for me" if you're not black.
I'm not saying there are zero racial elements alas, even on that, the BLMs of the world manage to ALWAYS pick the wrong fricking heroes. Generally, the black people who actually just kinda had it coming when there are PLENTY of better cases to pick from.
Bottom line, you want better policing? Then stop the stupid "it's only a problem for blacks" narrative and let everyone else know, guess what..........this shite affects YOU TOO!

The government destroyed black culture for centuries.
You will get no argument from me on that point, especially LBJ and the mayors of majority black cities.
Let's say you are the Chief of Police for Orleans and you have 100 officers working the night shift.
You have to distribute your officers to these neighborhoods. (i am going to show my age, because I know the actual projects have been torn down. just go with the area)
Lakeview
Uptown
Garden District
Calliope
Magnolia
Melpoemen
It's a Friday night in July at the first of the month. Where are you putting your police officers?

Most of the people killed by police are white.

You see. This is what I'm talking about. I know you think this "helps" your cause, but it doesn't. First off, because it's not actually true. It wouldn't take me 5 minutes to find you video of some stupid assed cop fricking over some blonde white woman.
You genuinely want to help black people who actually do get screwed over? Stop telling everyone else it's ONLY a black people problem.

More importantly.
You want your police presence to actually reduce crime.
You tell the police to:
1) make friends and do community involvement.
2) do lots of patrols and make a visible show of law enforcement
3) stop and frisk the shite out of the neighborhood
Pick one.

NONE of these will work with current quality of police training and knowledge of the law and especially knowledge of their ACTUAL limitations of authority.
But, assuming I have really solid officers in my department who do NOT have those issues, probably #2 with #1 being a close second.

blm is pretty much dead
black people who think there is a massive police brutality problem won't use that hashtag, abbreviation, slogan, whatever you want to call it. even they know it was a scam now.

Were they responsible for slavery, Jim Crow, redlining, restrictive covenants, highway construction that typically cut through black communities, employment discrimination, Urban Renewal, the FBI’s COINTELPRO program, the War on Drugs, etc, etc, etc?

Do you have any data to support that?
Kansas City actually tried these three approaches in the early 70s. One and two had no effect on crime.
