Then why are you arguing that he isn’t? I get people who will hold their nose and vote for Paxton, that makes perfect sense. If not for my personal experience and one degree of separation experience, I would be in the same boat. But the real knights who defend him baffle me.

Because in some or many ways plenty of other careers and jobs provide even “easier” access and opportunities to be very much “on the take.” If this sounds a little too overly broad a presumption, then your thought process may need to be revised.

First of all, there are all kinds of people in private business on the take. But most aren’t because there actual consequences for private citizens.

I've seen exactly one person wearing a Talarico shirt in public. He was in a wheelchair in the Marble Falls HEB last week. Talarico has been running bait-n-switch TV ads almost non-stop trying to make him sound like a moderate.
