How is Pelosi helping the Dems by not negotiating?

Seems to me the unwillingness to negotiate is wearing on America and her colleagues in the House....

Polls show Trump losing and the concessions he made were for temporary protections he himself stripped away and which the courts have enjoined the removal of. Sounds like some folks are upset Dems are fighting fire with fire (see Obamacare repeal shutdown).

Don't know how that myth was started, he was within the margin of error at 538 which aggregates major polls.

She may have won the battle (Postponing the SOTU) she has already lost the war and probably doesn't realize it.
Trump will eventually give a SOTU after the government opens. (Constitutional requirement and all) Now all he has to do is get wall funding then rake Nancy over the coals for not negotiating in good faith and negatively impacting gov workers. He'll talk about the democrats not being serious and taking or trying to take vacations while the government was shut down. (Until he shut them down) He will probably even thank her for coming to her senses and realizing her previous opinions and votes on the border wall were correct. (Talk about how they were for it before he wanted it then they were suddenly opposed) You will hear about every crime committed by an illegal alien. (4000+ murders etc) Nancy is going to have to sit there and take it while he does this in front of a national audience.
