Days are longer further north this time of year, hence Alaska having 24 hour daylight north of the Arctic circle

No... it stays light in the north longer in the summer and gets darker quicker in the winter.

It stays lighter longer in the north during the summer, darker longer during the winter. It is also a little more west than people realize.

I actually did go to college, but for engineering...Didn't cover the, getting darker the more north you go, in any of my classes. Sorry, lol

This will also blow your mind, I imagine, they are also on the western side of the Central Time Zone, That puts their Sunshine 1 hour behind Nashville, TN, every day of the year.
