Should have picked Youngkin or BDR.
Don’t know about Youngkin but Ron didn’t want it.
Being VP is typically a career killer.

He gives off weird energy. You hear stuff about him that makes you think hes redpilled af then you remember he endorsed McMullen which makes it likely he's CIA. He grew up white trash but went to Yale & married a dot Indian. It's all very strange.

The best VP is the one who doesn't bring baggage to the ticket. On that metric, Vance is terrible since he seems to be alienating women, a group Trump obviously needs. Trump spent the better part of a year trying to find a position on abortion that could reasonably satisfy everyone and he did but videos of Vance calling for the arrest of pregnant women crossing state lines are starting to resurface. And of course his cat lady comments. And now there's even news that he's directly involved with Project 2025. Trump really didn't need the focus to be on such issues rather than immigration and inflation. When you couple these with Vance's criticism of Trump from years ago, he almost seems like a Manchurian candidate.
I've also read that Trump's own pick was Burgum but he was convinced by his sons to pick Vance. If so, they are a bunch of dumb*sses and Trump was dumb too, for listening to them. Trump literally did better in Ohio (in both 2016 and 2020) than Vance did so you can't even say he's bringing anyone to the table, he's actively driving people (read: women) away. Burgum would've been 1000x better

Where is Dan now? How did it turn out for Palin?
If he is negative it surely is a positive sign

I'm still not a big fan but it's early in the campaign season.

How does this board currently view the Vance VP nomination?
He doesn't matter. People are voting for Trump because of Trump.

Vance wants a $20 minimum wage and likes Bernie Bro economics.

would our opinion change the pick?
no. so why dwell on it? VP does nothing but break ties in the senate.

Trump is trying to win an election and needs to get all the moderates he can get. JD as VP is not helping that cause.

I'm good with it. Impressive guy and on the right side of the big issues that I am concerned with.

Elegy and Eulogy are two very different things.

There are a whooolleeee lot of SEC region women who are married that cannot physically have babies that are hearing that they are worthless to him. Again, not what he said, but is what it's been twisted into.
He wants to ban IVF, and set up federal procedures for women who try to cross borders for an abortion.
He hates childless women.
